Tidally locked planets

I've noticed several instances where planets tidally locked with their sun form polar ice-caps in the permanently daylit side of the planet. This would be unlikely to happen in reality, but there are many cases also where the ice-caps form on the dark side of the plant so I assume that this is a bug.

I've noticed this too with some planets. 'Tis quite an annoying bug.
