This has most Probs been suggested before but i feel the more posts the better the chances. What i mean by this is an Auto Orbit for the spacecraft mode, Like tbh i would love to orbit earth and some random alien world however orbiting atm takes about 5 mins of adjusting speed and so forth. How hard would it be on the engine to do some medium equations?

BTW, this is also a feedback forum, A Bloody fine job Here mate. I love this engine and cant wait for the futer and its possibilities.

You can go to a planet (double G, so you're focused onto it), press 2 for spacecraft mode, tune the velocity a bit to your liking, then right click and drag to 'orbit' a planet. Though, an automatic mode would be great, I agree.

What about pressing ctrl+r to autorotate? Although that won't work if you don't want a geosynchrous orbit.

In the future when spacecraft are more developed this kind of thing will be implemented (auto-calculation of orbits). But right now the only way to orbit is to take time and do trial and error with spacecraft. Since they are still an experimental feature they are not very developed, so control and physics and such are only minimally implemented. In later releases they will be more developed.

How to circle a planet as though in orbit around it:
1) Go to planet. and follow it (F3, name of planet, G)
2) Track the planet (pop up menu at the bottom of the screen)
3) Use aircraft mode (not free or spaceship mode)
4) Pick a direction (Left or right arrow keys for example. Don't use the up or down arrows as these will send you toward or away)
This allows for continuous circling of the planet without the need to drag the mouse while holding down on right click. Also you don't need to use a spacecraft for this. Technically you're not really in orbit because the physics are different but it provides the same perspective.
I hope this helps.
