Crash when going fast

I haven't figured out exactly how to recreate this bug but it does happen consistently whenever I'm traveling fast, so I'm going to just start there.

Very consistently with this program, it will crash when flying around at intergalactic speeds. Often slower. It almost never crashes when exploring the solar system.

Here's my log file:
http://pastebin.com/cxRjagus

This is a fresh Windows 7 64 bit install. Intel I7 processor, not overclocked. 8GB RAM, GeForce GTX 460 video card with 1GB video memory.

SE runs pretty good on my system, unless I use the high resolution textures for the Earth or Mars and get up close to it. Sometimes I can get quite far out with lots of galaxies zipping past, etc. But usually once I'm going that fast, its only going to be a few more seconds before it will crash.

I can make a fraps video and post it on youtube if you need to see what exactly I'm doing. Not really sure what else to say.

Try to use interleaved loading mode by pressing ''/'' key from within the program. Or you can edit the main.cfg file in config folder - scroll down and at the end choose loading mode number that corresponds to interleaved (I think 2 but I am at work right now so I can not verify).

Also there is a specific thread for posting bugs like this.

PC1:Core i7 970@3.34GHz, 6 cores/12 threads, 12GB DDR3 RAM@1.34GHz, 2x(SLI) GTX-580 GPUs 3GB VRAM(GDDR5)@1GHz, OS:Win7x64SP1
PC2:Core2Quad X9770@3.2GHz, 2 cores/4 threads 4GB DDR2 RAM@1GHz, GTX-285 GPU 1GB VRAM(DDR3)@1.24GHz, OS:WinVistax64SP2

Ahh. I thought that thread was for "known" issues, as in confirmed to be bugs.

What does interleaved loading do specifically?

Thanks

Space Engineer can explain this better but AFAIK or understand this mode loads data in segments, utilizing one CPU thread in contrast with the default mode (Asychronous) which loads data in parallel and utilizes multiple CPU threads. Interleaved is slower but more stable. Asychronous is faster but less stable.

Well switching to interleaved certainly fixed the crashing problem, thanks. It does stutter some. I can see a performance hit, but the crashing seems to have gone. I went all the way up to 1.00 gpc/s with no issues. I didn't realize the simulation actually had an end to the universe till just now. At that speed, it doesn't take long to get past the last rendered object.
