Finishing multi-threading feature, refactoring the texture cache, updating the GUI windows, and doing a lot of technical work.

Had you thought I was doing nothing this weekend? You're wrong!

  • Multithreading resource loading/generating (number of threads is the number of cores minus one)
  • Updated the cache of galaxies models, they are now registered in the memory manager
  • Updated the cache of textures and models for ships and buildings, of ships and buildings, they are now registered in the memory manager
  • Supporting of the TIFF format for textures and screenshots
  • Supporting of sounds of WAV and OGG formats
  • Built-in music player for OGG music

The player requires a lot of work, it's a bit glitchy for now. Anyway, I already have about 220 Mb of soundtracks composed by various authors, especially for SE! A few more new soundtracks are coming. Also, sound support means that it will be possible to use nature sounds for planets and engine sounds for space ships. I'm looking for nice looping sound files that can be used here (either free or made especially for SE).

Edit: Just noticed the screens show a Betelgeuse system, and the player is playing a track named "Betelgeuse" biggrin
