Yes! These pictures are awesome, I can't wait to explore random terra's in the new version now that terrain generation is a lot more complex looking. cool

These improvements are great, I hope we can find mountains as nice as the ones from 0.94, that feature became rare in 0.95...
Also, about the control+C and control+V keys, that's the same in brazilian keyboards. I actually think it's the same in all keyboards biggrin

The mountain improvements are paramount! (Get it?) Much better than what's in .95.

Also, with regards to "grass", I think foliage would be a better term. We all know on an alien planet (a terra w/ life), the likelyhood that it would be grass as we know it isn't that high. (Still, small plants that grow in large fields would probably spread across a planet in a similar manner anyway)

SpaceEngineer... how are the mountains coming on non-earth-like planets? Can we see a screenshot of some frozen mountains, or mountains on a hot terra? Or just something with different colors?

What about black-colored plant life? This would be a great evolutionary trait since they would absorb lots of EM radiation- like a solar panel!

Will we see volcanic worlds anytime soon- seas of lava? Red/orange/brown skies? Would the lava seas be like water (can we travel under them?) I wouldn't think so since you can't see through lava...

Finally, any progress for the water surface?

Terras and deserts have the same surface generation shaders, they differ only by color.

Maybe.

Not in 0.96

Awesome, and i have a idea: Terrestrial Vehicules physics, its a good idea for the grounded exploration, why not?

And did you have a estimation of the release date?

new textures for some Solar system bodies

Oh? Which ones? surprised

And it's a shame to hear about the fixing of the Sun turning blue and green and whatnot at Sunset; I know it's a bug, but I love how trippy it is.

Today new features:

  • Real brightness of the planets (lighting dependency on the distance to the sun)
  • White dwarfs, neutron stars, black holes - isolated and in multiple star systems
  • Binary gas giants

That's amazing. biggrin I look forward to brown dwarf planets appearing even darker than their suns instead of as oversaturatedly red; randomly running in to stellar remnants (though hopefully not literally running in to solitary black holes invisible in empty space :o), and especially the gorgeous sight a binary gas giant will be. It reminds me of a screenshot I made through camera trickery a while ago:

Any plans to include titan-like bodies? (cold/frozen with liquid surfaces different than water)
Also, is the bug with ice giants appearing first at every single starsystem fixed?

Looking foward to it smile

I am also curious as to whether the luminosity of red dwarf systems will be fixed in this version. In 0.95 and earlier they were too bright.
