I have this error, and I have tried to update my OpenGL but it will not update... I have OpenGL 3.2. sad

I hope you can help.
My specs if necessary:

Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit
Intel Core 2 Duo: T6400 2.00GHz
4096MB RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650

I have tried and tried but I am not a smart guy to handle OpenGL. wacko

It seems that your graphics card supports maximum OpenGL 3.2. So SE should work with it...

When I try to launch the program, I see the loading screen, it loads fine, then it disappears.
I tried things suggested by people here, turned procedural planets off, things like that, nothing.

... but you missed this: troubleshooting post.

Look on paragraph 1 and 2. It seems your graphics card is not compatible, or have obsolete driver.

Hi,

I just downloaded Space Engine but it seems to completely freeze up my computer after a couple of minutes. I have tried a few times doing different things, with the same outcome each time, and a complete reboot every time it happens.

I have an Intel i7 3.40ghz processor, 8 gigs of ram, and a Radeon HD 6800 graphics card.

Apparently reinstalling the driver of my graphics card helped, must've been something wrong with that...

Oh and I'm absolutely impressed with the program, it's huge!:D

Hi there. Is it possible to reduce the quality of cloud textures used on procedural planets by somehow modifying a *.cfg or *.jpg/png file? I just noticed that SE runs out of video memory just as it finishes loading ground meshes and starting loading cloud textures. I have tried increasing VideoMemoryMaxPercent value, reducing values under "texture rendering settings", reducing values under \\planet settings and all sorts of experimenting with main.cfg but I only managed to get either CTDs, or reduced visuals but with no reduction in consuption of video memory. I am monitoring realtime the amount of video memory by using evgas Precision tool. My system Specs are as follows:
PC1:
CPU: Intel Core2Extreme QX9770 @ 3.2GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR2@1066MHz
VIDEOCARD: EVGA NVIDIA GTX275 with 896MB VRAM (GDDR3 ithink)
HDD (WD Velociraptor 300GB@10000RPM/16MB)x2

The problem mainly arises on PC1 i.e the slower (although its my favourite): When at surface of procedural planet it start loading of meshes (LOD is set to 0), it finishes loading of meshes (memory consuption is 812MB/896MB total Videomem) but when it start loading of cloud textures it never finishes - it starts reloading of meshes and etc, etc.. I currently have the following main.cfg:

No, it is impossible to reduce couds quality - there is no settings in config for it. It is better to reduce LOD to -1 or -2. Current and previous versions have a bug where the landscape never loads on <1 Gb VRAM cards, and another bug that makes engine impossible to use with more than 800-900 Mb of VRAM, without it crash smile

The first bug has been fixed for next release, but the second has not done yet.

Thanks a lot SpaceEngineer! One more question: So What videocard do you recommend for Space Engine? Is an NVIDIA GTX-275 with 896MB VRAM adequate for your next release? Would I benefit from a GTX4xx or GTX5xx series with 1.5 GB or more VRAM? (I am not going to mention ATIs cause I bought one in the past once, and had deeply regret it - ATIs/AMDs are very good for photoshop/ video editing but not 3D animation IMHO) Thank you for one more time for your attention and for your efforts you have put on this great project.

I have used the search function but I only found one and I tried updating video drivers then, but they are updated.
Are there any specific ones I need to update?
The one updated on 'Device Manager' is 'Display Adapters' ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570
