Hi again , this problem still occurs, soon im running out of memory and need to close SE and reopen it again in order everything to run normal and with the new version(0.93) its worse , i was testing it with a friend of mine who has 4 gb ram and has the same problem , also it prints out an error of a "....Runtime..." something like this and the program crashes, i think it has to do with my graphics card memory but im not sure

Hi,

I just posted a troubleshooting thread here: http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/4-5-1

Sorry if my English is bad:)

OUT_OF_MEMORY is related to overflow of VIDEO CARD MEMORY, not system RAM. There is strange behavior of Vista/7 driver. It must push out data from VRAM to system RAM, and program must still worked. But in Vista/7 it crashes...

I dont know... I have no machines with WinXP to test it. But I remember the behaviour of XP driver, where VRAM overflow occurs.

The problem occurs when i have everything on i mean like procedural stars / planets (stars on other galaxies) it gets real laggy after 10 - 15 minutes, when i turn them off everything runs smooth ... but i miss the fun sad

I know that this engine has a lot amount of data but is there any way to fix this from the code(not to have memory leak) or something .. dont know so much about programming :P

I probably found the cause of lags in procedural stars subsystem, but its fixing requires 1-2 days of work. It will be fixed in next release.

is there plan for solution with OpenGL4 capable AMD (ATI) cards to work with mipmaps enabled?

I dont know why standard OpenGL function glGenerateMipmap caused the crash of program. I will implement my own function for mipmap generation, so this bug will be fixed.

Hi again smile

SE 0.94 has fixed most of the bugs as i have seen but now there is another bug that it didn't occur before or at least didn't notice.

Nebulas and Galaxies appear like they having diffrent textures alltogether

The 1st pictures is the eagle nebula the second is Milky Way from the outer rims but it shouldn't seem like that.

Well.. This bug appears in Windows Xp sp3 , In windows 7 everything is fine maybe is just a driver related problem or directX i cant think of anything else

I'm seeing similar bugs on planets and stars. Definitely something amiss. I'm sure
it won't take long for Vova to find the bug.

This is a transition between skybox faces. Nearby nebula and galaxy is rendered to a skybox then the camera stops and saves the framerate. Sometimes these transitions are seen clearly. I must upgrade the algorithm to fix it.

I am not seeing this bug. Did you install 0.94 over vers 0.93?

If so, try completely deleting your install, empty recycle bin, and
install 0.94 in a new folder. If this bug you are showing is caused
by the same issue I had for stars n planets, then it might fix it. It
has on mine. But I never did look at any galaxies before trying to
find a fix.

So we have to wait until he releases a new version or small patch that fix some of these minor bugs
