Is this new shader more scientific than RC1 version?

The shaders work for RC1 so there is no reason to update them.

I could not make it work. Shaders created a folder in the system folder and pasted it there, but it does not work. Can someone help me?

Shaders created a folder in the system folder and pasted it there, but it does not work

That's because shaders don't go there in RC2. You need to put your addon shaders in addons/shaders.

Addons/Shaders works but so does data\shaders. You also need to make sure the date on the shader is later than the updated ones in RC2, otherwise the program will not use the mod. You can simply resave the file to change the date modified.

But you should use the addons folder because that's what it's there for.

sinsforeal, I will look into it. I think the sun shaders were updated a bit so the modded ones will need to be tweaked again to work properly.

The shaders I last posted here, also work in 'SE 0.974 RC2'.

I wonder, however, if it is still necessary.

NML Cygni (my favorite star for this) with standard shaders in 'SE 0974 RC1':

With standard shaders in 'SE 0974 RC2':

With modified shaders in 'SE 0974 RC2':

I find the default shaders looks fine.

But for convenience, the modified shader as '.pak' file. Put in the 'addons' folder.

Don't forget to look here.

DoctorOfSpace, Yes indeed I was referring to this shader here I think these are the most pretty version of the shaders. They only work in patch 8 I believe. It is such a true shame they don't work in the latest version.
