Some catchphrases and words of wisdom from the VS:

-TR, NC, get your own facility!

-Red + blue = purple. Thus, purple > red + blue. And finally: VS > TR + NC. Simple math, people.

-Purple is the color of royalty.

VS in Beta, VS in release, VS at heart! VS shall reign supreme! FOR SCIENCE!

Here's another procedural game on kickstarter:
http://www.kickstarter.com/project....ce-game

The author is part of the infinity forum and was arguing about an entirely procedural game and here is his product.

Seems like he will hit the goal too, it was 37k yesterday, ~23k 2 days ago.

Well, it's science fiction, but it looks great. It looks like Space Engine is still the only one going for an entirely realistic look at our universe. The fact that everything is procedurally created is quite interesting.

I can't find any download link, maybe it's still in developing, but what I see is the pure awesomeness smile

Looks awesome.

I think even movie scripts are procedurally generated these days. smile

Vanu are cool, but NC is my favorite. Maybe cause I like the show firefly. *Browncoat over here* biggrin

There are like a million different servers, and each server has three teams. Maybe an outfit won't work so well..."

There are not that many servers, and each server can hold over 2000 players. I don't see why this would be a problem??

Just 2 days ago I tried some Planetside 2, after a little warm-up I finally got some decent equipment. KDR - 2.4, and about 250 kills for 8 hours.

I mostly play as Infiltrator, but my favorite class is Troll Assault. You can just fly above to some point where nobody expects you at all. I could take about 3-7 kills from such position, go for resupply, and repeat this 2-3 times until they finally hunt me down somehow. When on defending, you can just drop on their heads while they can't expect you. Lots of fun ensured.

I always play as Heavy Assault. I have a below 1 K/D but so many assists... I love the gun I have, with low recoil and 75 round mags. I might try your strategy as light assault though, sounds fun. But I have a knack for finding random hiding spots, so other people using that strategy won't be that lucky lol.

There aren't a million, of course.

What I'm saying is that this is an international online community (the SE forums), and the Planetside Servers are regional. I'm on the US east coast server, for example. Because of this, the forum couldn't really have a universal outfit.

Can't separate outfits be made for different areas?

Yeah, but then this means we end up with an archipelago of different outfits.

I should also mention there's more than one east coast server...

Can't we just play at night? or day, depending on where you live. On weekends it would be perfect smile
