The 12 carat diamond appears but as you go to reach for it a squirrel steals it thinking it's a shiny peanut. The squirrel is of course, much too fast for you.

I wish for the ability to predict the stock market.

You can predict the stock market, but at the cost of your memories and in the end, your sanity. There is too much information flowing through your mind, thus forcing it to delete all your memories and replacing them with predictions of the stock market.

I wish that SCP-914 was real and in my room, and I am the only one that knows its location and it is so well hidden that no being in any plane of existence can find it no matter how advanced their technologies are, and every item that comes out of 914 is teleported to a pocket dimension only accessible by me. The SCP Foundation is unable to track me down, and the first thing I insert in 914 is an assault rifle. I set the knob to "Very Fine" and I receive a laser assault rifle that is super stable and reliable and can kill anything. Reason why I did that is to have a way to protect myself from any potential hostiles that I accidentally refine. For example: I stick a cat in, set it to "Fine", and what comes out is a 4 legged, furred animal resembling a panther with razor sharp claws and teeth and is also sentient (Just an example).

I think this is a hard one to corrupt. I could be wrong....

Your wish is granted. Your SCP-914 functions admirably and, thanks to the great lengths you took to hide it, it is never found. Through your use of pocket dimensions, the devices you craft never fall into the wrong hands. Unfortunately, your use of pocket dimensions is also playing Russian Roulette with the very stability of the vacuum. One day as you open your pocket dimension to retrieve one of your creations, a bubble of true vacuum nucleates around it, then proceeds to expand at nearly the speed of light, destroying everything in its wake with effectively zero warning.

Well done, sir! Good show.

I wish every rainbow had a pot of gold at its end.
Scratch that. I wish Australia had squirrels. smile

Wish granted, but a leprechaun is doing the guard there, and will brutally kill with an axe anyone who tries to take his gold.

Alright, then. Wish granted, but they'll have a dangerous disease that will spread in the entire world causing a zombie-apocalypse.

I wish I had a sort of "test universe" where I can change the physics laws at my will.

The universe is not required to be in perfect harmony with human ambition.

(still don't know why everyone is doing this...)

Doh, I edited that too late. Fair 'nough!

Your wish shimmers and pops with magical wish grantiness. Your "test universe" has computational capabilities that match our own universe. By sheer coincidence, the first iteration produces sentient, highly intelligent creatures who rapidly develop solutions to all of life's problems. Your altering of the physical laws then eradicates them and all knowledge they accumulated. You are a bad god.

I still wish Australia had squirrels. sad

edit: Aaaagh, edit battle! I desist.

Wish granted, and it appears at your desk, but in order to have infinite everything it is infinite in size and immediately fills the entire universe and then some, squishing everything into quantum goo until all that remains is your new computer.

I wish that my cat would stop yowling for food at 3am even though he knows I'll feed him at 8.

*mew* Your wish is granted. Your cat no longer yowls for food at 3am. Instead at the 3am hour he jumps on your windowsill at bats at the blinds. If this fails to wake you, or if you remove the blinds, he jumps on your bed and walks all over you, then repeatedly licks your face. If you shut him out of the room, he learns how to open doors.

Cats are the best. :3

I wish for a ripe banana.

Wish granted, but the banana turns out to be a transcendent space being and you accidentally eat the first extraterrestrial being to contact us.

Out-of-character: I wish we could actually grant this wish and not corrupt it. =(
