Real Canadian spaceman vs fake Canadian spaceman

Dem Canadians cool

In all seriousness though, I'm very pleased and impressed by the public following that Hadfield has cultivated while on orbit so far, he seems to have a great talent for engaging the public and capturing people's interest.

Star Trek standard orbit always looks like MEO. I find this rather careless. What about navigational satellites- there's going to be some disruption or something if the civilization is space fairing.

Silly Federation, ships are for kids!

You do realize that the volume of space contained in that orbital region is so vast that the odd of collision are effectively nil? And with their advanced technology, they could easily detect and avoid any potential collisions.

The image about education is so, so true.

Its almost like the type of school is a description of how accurate the knowledge it teaches is.

I can't wait for space engine .98 with animated chromospheres for stars. I also can't wait for the Atari 2600 port of SE. It will look much better with all the extra processing power the 2600 can provide- I'm talking about photorealistic images at 120 fps.
