Re edited the image of the milky way.
Im actually suprised how it can be seen so clearly even though it was taken at really heavy light pollution.

Same without stars

Well I live in a suburb so it could be worse, but compared to the town I lived in as a child the night sky is mostly invisible sad But according to my light pollution map on Google Earth Israel is incredibly light polluted, almost as bad as the Benelux. I feel sorry for you guys sad

A nice aurora and fireball combo photographed from Karasjok, Norway yesterday.

(Not my photo, the photographer is Kjell Harald Sæther, the mayor of Karasjok for 24 years and apparently an eager and patient photographer).

People keep photographing fireballs in Norway these days it seems. smile The next evening Geir Øye captured a different
fireball. It also appears on an all sky camera in a different location, so the trajectory of this one can be calculated.
