RE: Upcoming launch

Quote
Elon Musk ‏@elonmusk 6m

Upcoming Falcon 9 demo has a lot of new technology, so the probability of failure is significant

Due to some anomalies that occurred during the test yesterday, another static fire test is planned for tomorrow. Hopefully sometime after that a final launch date will be set.

The static fire test was rescheduled for Wednesday, but that may have been pushed back as well. Also, due to the VAFB range being so busy with the upcoming ICBM tests, the Falcon 9 flight is delayed until at least the end of the month sad

Falcon 9 with CASSIOPE lifted off the pad at the planned time, no delays or problems reported. Everything appears to have worked perfectly happy Hopefully some really nice videos and pictures will be released soon, and more info on exactly how the flight went and whether the payloads were released properly.

EDIT: Here's one picture from Gene Blevins/LA Daily News smile
