quarior14,
Unfortunately, there are more differences between Python 2.7 and Python 3.4. sad
I have added a version for 3.4 in the opening post.

Don't forget to look here.

AsterbeltCreator Version 0.23

I have added two queries to the program:
- 1. Is the 'ParentObject' a 'Barycenter'?
If so:
- 2. The total mass of the main bodies of the system.
The 'Mass' is needed to calculate orbital 'Periods' for the asteroids in such a system.

Furthermore, the program now generates 'Mass' parameters for the asteroids.
And I have the code something optimized with respect to the Python versions.

The program I have added to the opening post.

Can you publish the source code?

No problem
source.zip

Feel free to build it yourself. I've used Qt 5.6 and MinGW-w64 3.4(gcc 4.9.3). It probably won't build with other compilers/versions without modification.

Przeszczep,
thank you.
The installation of Qt 5.6 is currently running, but with MinkW 32 bit. wink
I may need to change this if necessary.

It won't build with MinGW 32 because it lacks full threading support. Qt 5.6 for MinGW has bundled MinGW-w64 and it can build 32-bit.

Updated sources source.zip. Should work with VS 2013 and VS 2015. I don't have Qt binaries for VS, so I can't confirm if it links though.

Hey y'all

I have made a new version of the Atmosphere Analyzer tool. It uses Excel.

You insert all your found values on the left hand side of the sheet. And on the right hand side you get all your results.

It works best with planets. If you are analyzing a moon, you'll have to cut some corners.
It also works best in single star systems.

It will give you an idea of the weather and other atmospheric features on the planet. And it will try to evaluate the level of habitability.

Asteroid Belt Maker v0.2 Beta
- gui improvements
- added save file dialog
- added hardcoded presets
- added object type selection
- GitHub repository created

Direct download

I don't know much about orbital elements and SE modding, so I would be very grateful if someone with more knowledge could review input and output parameters and tell me what should be added, removed or modified.

Considering you have started this thread with the title Tools and Utilities, and are keen on maintaining it, It would be a good idea to collect all the tools posted by users in the first post for easier navigation, namely, Atmosphere Analyzer tool by lassekronborg522.

abrasax,
I made this thread to have such tools in one place, where they are easier to find, instead of many threads to have, which are never seen again.

But I had not really planned to list all these tools in the opening post.
This I had also not planned with my 'AsterBeltCreator', because I had not expected that there would be different versions. surprised

But maybe you're right.

Planned I had to insert some links to other threads, if I have found a few. dry

I did that now.

Przeszczep,
When I compile the program and run, I get these messages in the Console:

- libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
- A cryptographic context with the MyKeyContainer key container has been acquired.

I use Qt 5.6 MSVC2015 64bit.

Where can I get the MingW 64 version? In my installation tool I see only the MingW 32 version.
