Bambusman. with your permission, I like to modify your nebulas's orientation, scale and position based of observations in the night sky. Because after all, this sim is based on realism and that is SpaceEngineer's goal. Accuracy

So far I have seen the Carina Nebula is orientated wrong, and the California nebula and too small, its not oriented, and not in correct position. I have given you the code for that one but I still have to do the Carina Nebula.

ZackG, the carina nebula is from Space Engines catalog and the california nebula yes it is too small i can fix that.
a problem is that the radius of some nebulas are unknown.

Kexitt, That's because i want to see your computer's burn

its because of the detail
Code
emDetailR  1.5
  emDetailZ  1.5
  absDetailR  0.5
  absDetailZ  0.5

you can lower it in the new_carina model if you want like this:
Code
emDetailR  0.7
          emDetailZ  0.7
          absDetailR  0.5
          absDetailZ  0.5

Hornblower, Install it the same way you would with the other nebulae.

You should be able to put the textures in data/textures/nebulae, and then put the catalog code in data/catalogs/nebulae, and then put the model code in data/models/nebulae. Don't forget to delete the cache folder.

For RC2 put the files in data/addons.

go to the nebula, then close Space Engine while you're looking at it, and then reopen the engine. that's a glitch I fix a lot anyways.

That's because Bambusman has this:

Code

    CubePosXImage    "ngc6751.*"
    CubePosYImage    "ngc6751.*"
    CubePosZImage    "ngc6751.*"

changed in that:
Code

    CubePosXImage    "ngc6751_posx.*"
    CubePosYImage    "ngc6751_posx.*"
    CubePosZImage    "ngc6751.*"

in the 'morenebulae.cfg' file.
But he forgot to add a texture with that name.

Don't forget to look here.
