This looks great definitely adding it to my SE. cool

Every time I try to download it downloads some exe and then my anti virus goes crazy and it won't let me download the torrent. I guess I will wait for the direct download for now, can't seem to get the torrent file.

Did it through IE apparently my adblock was blocking all those icons so I couldn't see the options.

As soon as one person has fully completed torrenting I am going to stop seeding and concentrate on making direct downloads available. As soon as that is done, I will resume seeding.

EDIT: Direct download now available.

Well, I'm at 82.9% by now, so I'm going to try and finish it too now. Yet it doesn't seem to have ever connected to you; just to peers.

Mine has finished downloading and is installing. It's much, much nicer than even the screenshots show. I can approach to 100 km of the Moon (at 22 degree FOV) without losing any detail, and even at that point it's only straight under me. Looking at the horizon, it could be the real Moon rather than a simulation even at only 30 km height. It also seems to fix most of the craters where the texture is slightly misplaced compared to the bump map, causing double sight, though a few still seem affected.

Nice work Harbinger!

So if this moon texture is based on LRO imagery, it should fit the underlying hi-res bumpmap perfectly, without any displacements like we can currently see with the default texture at the higher/lower latitudes on the moon?

It looks very nice, though I wish it was based on highest-sun-phase-angle imagery (least shaded) with colour information, but hey, we (or John van Vliet in this case) have to work with what is available.

The match isn't perfect, but it is very close. Only a few places have any offset, and it is not nearly as bad as it was with the default map.

Yes, that is true. Also, this map is a little out of date. Better imagery for creating a good non-shaded map probably exists now, but NASA's mosaics of LRO images are not very well done, which is why I had to use John's map; he has good map-making skills and was therefore able to create this from NASA's maps.
