I think that you should be able to set a target star for the star browser, that way you can find systems with white dwarfs and neutron stars that arent on a binary orbit with a dimmer star(brown dwarves)

RS 8409-1353-7-136671-74 is an example of what you could find more easily if you could set a target star type on the star browser

I wish we could do that, like if I want to look for "G" stars only set it to "G" or yellow dwarfs and find only yellow dwarfs and sort them out by life. I'd especially like a way to sort the single from binary stars too, but that'll probably be added in the future versions.

Essentially, that's the kind of thing that would make Habsearches SO MUCH EASIER. Still you can sort by class, but you can't sort by something else by doing so.

Tips for finding Earth-Like planets: Look for F, G, or K Class stars. M class habitables will almost always be tidelocked. Oceanias can, of course, also be habitable, they just have tiny amounts of land.

This has been discussed before; the idea of searching for the nearest (insert desired procedural object). It takes time and CPU power to actually generate the nearby systems, of which there are so many.

Is there actually a way to find specific star systems such as RS-8409-1796-...etc?

Yes, just press F3 and type in the RS code. It should take you there.
