This is likely to be useful in the Universe Sandbox. How do you imagine this in SE? The N-body simulation cannot be reversed in time or sped-up or rewound to any desired time, like it can be done for planets. Also, SE universe contain billions of galaxies - the engine should detect all colliding pairs at real time and perform such simulation for them. This is simply impossible, even on supercomputers. The only way to use the galaxy collision in SE is to make a separate "scene" where user can see collision of two galaxies, just like in Universe Sandbox.

Rendering a galaxy collision in real time with hundreds of thousands of particles, plus simulating the effects of dark matter? That's awesome!
