If the algorithm changes between updates, does that mean that procedural locations that I've bookmarked (or locations that are shared on the forum) might not exist after updating, or that they might have radically changed?

Since the new coordinate system is implemented, it is possible that all procedural stars would be generated with new seed, so that not only the locations, but all star systems must be different.

Every version, the universe gets destroyed, but recreated better. That's how I look at it. It'll be a shame to lose the awesome planets I've found, but there will be even better ones in their place.

I occasionally stream at http://www.twitch.tv/magistermystax. Sometimes SE, sometimes other games.

Yes, universe gets destroyed... After version 1.0 I will implement system that saves old generators in a .dll and will use them for old saved locations. This will save old locations untill galaxy model gets changed.
