Hello, and thanks for the great work so far.

I'm a middle-aged man (sounds depressing, never admitted that before) with no significant studies in space science, but I find it very interesting. I have a day job in the office and a small family.

Hello, I am Quinn, also known as Q, Quinny, or Quincent, and Space Engine is one of my favorite pieces of software ever created. I actually first played it around a year ago, maybe longer. I found it by watching one of Scott Manley's videos, and ever since I first flew to a procedural star and found a beautiful blue world covered in clouds, I've been in love! Much thanks to you, SpaceEngineer. I plan on donating within the year.

Hi! DoctorOfSpace sent me smile

I'm new to the forums. Just wanted to say, if you choose to implement the new Oculus SDK, I can test the build for ya. As long as you can opt for the "Direct Input" method as it's the only way I've gotten any demos to work so far. Maybe you would be better off waiting for an update to the SDK -- maybe they can fix some of the issues going on right now.

Anyway, I do really enjoy SE. Tried it about a year ago as per recommended by said friend.

Here's my specs:

Windows 7 x64
2x NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX TITAN
Motherboard: Asus® Rampage IV Extreme Supporting USB 3.0, SATA 6G, PCI-E 3.0
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 3930K Six-core 3.2GHz/3.8GHz Turbo 12MB L3 Cache w/ HyperThreading
Memory: 16GB Corsair® Dominator™ Platinum DDR3-2133 1.5V (4x4GB)

I will totally test any implementation of the Oculus SDK 0.4+, should you choose to give it a go.
I will try to check back on the forums here from time to time, but honestly, the best way to get a hold of me is via Steam. DoctorOfSpace is my friend and can pm me anytime.

Hi, I'm a 40 something Materials Engineer and I only found Space Engine 3 days ago by following a link on the JREF forum. I've been spreading the word there and at work. For three whole days now. Anyway, I'm loving every minute of my time in SE and I'm looking forward to all the stuff that's planned for the future.

Hello everyone. I was first introduced to SpaceEngine about a year ago by a chance Google search, and have periodically kept up on it's progress. I initially planned to donate, but due to the lack of reward (Kickstarter mentality) and really a general lack of funds, slowly lost interest.

I just found that SpaceEngine is on Greenlight, which also prompted me to discover a planned IndiGoGo campaign, so I decided to get myself out of the shadows to watch progress. Not wanting to be selfishly guided by the crowdfunding mentality, I decided to give a little to find the development of 1.0,and look forward to seeing more from this project.

Just realized I haven't introduced myself yet.

I've always been an astronomy enthusiast, since I started reading "real" books, those with small fonts and few or no illustrations at all.
I bumped into SpaceEngine doing a collateral search for information regarding applied procedural generation in games and MMORPGs, and at first I couldn't believe at what I was seeing. My fantasies come true. A procedural space simulator, with strong accent on real astronomical data information? And a single man coding this thing, with these results so far? You've got to be kidding me!

I'd watch forever SpaceEngineer's progress reports or videos from old versions of SE. I think even just observing the evolution of this program in time is mind boggling per se.

oh, just another thing: when I've read this:
http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/21-2070-44456-16-1413401358
then I said to myself: "here's someone enthusiast having a good time!"
Cheers, SpaceEngineer! king

Hello everybody!

I am a new member of this forum, but have been using SE for two years now. SE is a thing of beauty, of exelence, probably the closest thing to real space I am ever going to experience. Vladimir, all hats down for you biggrin

I have a question?

What is the best site to upload files so the people can download form it?

I made from scratch Star Trek Borg cube, which now I decided to share with the community. The cube is done in real life scale (3.6 km). I tried to optimize so it is not very resource consuming. (I know this is not the right thread but I need your advice, so "general discusion".)

Images are in the attachments.

Thank you in advance and once I upload it I hope you will enjoy it.
