Jupiter and the spot.

Jupiter's red spot has only been around 300 or so years, as far as humans can tell anyway. The red spot has changed a lot since the Voyager flybys. It no longer looks like that big awesome eye, more of a medium-size blemish. The cloud-bands change too, but this seems to be seasonal. Will we ever get an updated texture of Jupiter that is more accurate to the current jovian portrait? I suspect such a map doesn't exist, but the Juno spacecraft will have such capabilities, right? When that arrives, maybe it'll finally be accurate.

gregory, is this thread about Jupiter? Or is it a question about its texture in SE? There are existing threads to discuss them in in either case.
