I'm still confused, which one that have more planets and stars? No Man's Sky or Space Engine?? And what pros and cons between them??? the only pros i know in No Man's Sky is the Semi-Procedurally generated Lifeforms, because i like creatures and anything that has life on it.

Space Engine, by many orders of magnitude. If we want to estimate it:

Number of stars ~ (stars/galaxy)*(galaxies/volume)*(total volume of universe)

According to SpaceEngineer, there are 10 galaxies per Mpc3, which is 1010 per Gpc3. Space Engine's procedurally generated universe is a 10x10x10 Gpc cube, or 1000 Gpc3. I don't know the average number of stars per galaxy, but I am pretty sure it is a hundred million at least. Together, that yields at least a sextillion stars (1021).

Most stars have planetary systems, which makes for another order of magnitude of planets, and another order of magnitude above that for moons.

Added:
As for pros/cons, numbers alone are not a good descriptor for the difference in gaming experience. I'd say that No Man's Sky has a pro of having richer gameplay elements, while Space Engine has a unique pro of having accurate portrayal of astronomical scales and phenomena as a primary goal. One that I think it achieves very well and in a visually beautiful manner. smile

And one more question, would space engine gameplay would be same as No Man's Sky in the future?? like adding semi-procedurally generated flora and fauna (like what NMS, Species ALRE or maybe Spore did), multiplayer features like sharing the details of planets they have visited with other online players, space battles (cuz why not?), collect, sell, and trade resources to the other player, etc. I know its TOO extreme but why not wink My imagination just blow because those features in NMS, but i love Space Engine more!! biggrin biggrin

SpaceEngineer how about flora and fauna? or maybe team up with Species ALRE or make models of creatures or floras, and the skin or textures are procedurally generated? Is it possible?
