I wonder if life could even exist close to a galactic center due to all the radiation.

Black Ark the 2nd and 3rd pictures are epic! Probably I would vote them for best pics of SE ever!
Also Solaris as usual, Doctor Of Space, WhatsisName and Phoenix pics are great. Congrats to all of you!

Finaly, we come to a terra with life, with blue seas and lush green hills, located just a couple parsecs from the galactic center. Here the density and intensity of stars is so great that they shine even in the day.

Great sequence of panoramas.

I actually had a spot yesterday that would have made a GREAT panorama, but decided not to with the lag I was getting while having LOD 2 on.

WOW.

Incredible shots as always, Solaris. cool My favorites are "far far away" and the one that has the ringed planet behind two mountain peaks with the sun and asteroid field to the right. Beautiful!

Unfortunately, SE crashed when I tried to descend to the planet, so... I'm afraid it will remain in my memory as a lost paradise. =(

Next time I think I'll take two screenshots. One with location and another one without, because when that happens it hurts a lot not to be able to ever find the system again.

There's a huge universe out there... biggrin

more experimentation with emulating chromatic abberation. (Post-processed, not in-game), also added a vignette.
Kind of hard to see with the forum's resize, you'll probably have to paste the image url in another tab to see it in full res.

If you don't know what to look for, look at the bottom left corner or the top of the gas giant.

RS 8403-196-9-67174431-170 B3 is a temperate terra orbiting and tidally locked to a brown dwarf that itself orbits and is tidally locked to a red dwarf. On rare occasion both orbital planes intersect as the brown dwarf passes in front of the red dwarf, giving a solar eclipse caused by a star. Because the eclipsing star is a brown dwarf, the eclipse still creates a period of darkness.
