Did a custom texture for your Sol Dyson ring JackDole. I made a low res one to conserve resources and used it as a thermal glow.

Collector set around Sol as a sphere

KIC 8462852 again, some collectors are now in possition.
I think this is a scenario which correspond to the measured light fluctuations:

A ring with 360 collectors in the Sol system, almost looks like a Halo ring:

Cross belt:

The attached .bat script can produce Sol rings. But it requires an external program to calculate floating point numbers. I use a Lua script for this.

A collector in Jupiter L2 point:

Looks pretty nice.

I think you should make a thread in the mods and addons section called something like "JackDole's megastructures" or similar to have this stuff in an easy to find place.

something like "JackDole's megastructures"

I think it should be something more general, after all, I'm building not only mega-structures, but also strange solar systems and planets, gas nebulae and star clusters. But I have not found a good name for a thread. How about 'JackDole's News of a Type IV Civilization'? biggrin

BreadParticles, you probably have increased the thermal emission shift. Try setting it lower.

Love SpaceEngine!

Got your point across yes but please i beg you get out of my head

Living among the stars, I find my way. I grow in strength through knowledge of the space I occupy, until I become the ruler of my own interstellar empire of sorts. Though The world was made for the day, I was made for the night, and thus, the universe itself is within my destiny.
