Wow!! There are some truly beautiful and amazing pictures in here...

I absolutely love this program! I can barely run it, but it's still my favorite program that I've ever used, in a lot of ways. Here are some of my screenshots!

In my search for Earth-like planets, I found one that also had a small yellow moon. Inspired by NASA's image, "Earthrise", I took a screenshot and edited it to resemble a real life image of Earth rising over the moon's horizon.

This moon is a lot more yellow in-game; I had to desaturate it to get it looking like our moon, though I might redo this image at one point without editing its colour to see what it would look like.

EDIT: True colour moon:

I found another weird system. This one is an ice giant + desert (cthonian?) binary orbiting at a little bit more than the primary's diameter. This means that despite the desert planet having only 1 atm of pressure and being located in a region of space that receives as much solar radiation as Saturn, it has a surface temperature of 2300 C due to tidal heating. The primary is also heated appreciably, to 200 C.

The moon's apparent magnitude indicates that the moon's resulting thermal glow should heat the primary comparably to how the sun heats Mercury at perihelion. The moon outshines its parent by about 4.5 orders of magnitude.

The large separation of this binary from its host star, coupled with the pair's intense thermal glow, makes the binary immediately noticeable when approaching the star, and almost makes it appear to be a red dwarf companion.

Same edits I did to the shaders from a previous thread
http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/4-2751-48874-16-1421962459

These may not work with recent builds but you can still edit the same lines in the current shaders.
