I love the new Mountains.

Mountains on Deserts kinda look like Runes.

Thanks! I'm sure if you play around with the different settings for long enough you'll be able to get some similar results - for every picture I share there are another ten or so I took which turned out being kinda rubbish. It's all just patience and experimentation :)

Oh I know, I do have a few good screenshots(Like the cloud one last page) but overall I don;t seems to have the right ambient lighting to get screenshots like that.

I paid J1407b a visit as soon as I found its rings in the file.

Dat ring system. cry

A bit buggy, naturally. Who knew they could get so big?

From the edge

From the edge of the system

And one from the pole.

Found a Terra with blackish plants that is tidally locked and in a double system;

Also, found a blood-red-tinted planet around a black brown dwarf;

Check the controls menu in the options - there are controls to increase or decrease ambient light :)

I tend to mess around a lot with star/galaxy magnitude, exposure, bounce light from other planets, ambient intensity, bloom, temperature shift, etc. to get the lighting right. It lets me get crazy shots like these:

(more here)

Technically it's less realistic, but eh, I'm treating this as an 'impressionistic' view of the universe!

Whilst I'm at it, I've been having fun with extremely narrow FoVs. Earth looks pretty cool with Jupiter or Saturn behind it biggrin

4 of Seven suns rising at once on this amazing Desert planet. Tatooine suddenly looks more tropical than I remember it being.

Some more of this planet.

Largest Satellite (Captured Asteroid) 20.494 km Diameter. Has obviously had some serious impact events before its capture or during it. As it is at a highly irregular orbit compared to the other moons I assume this happened before its capture. Its good to science things out every now and then.

And the view of the planet from this satellite.

A view of this scorched planet with its closest satellite

And the planetary system from afar.

I found this one on accident. It was just to beautiful not to share. The whole system is fantastic, not a lot of planets however.
