I'm loving that accretion disc.

Along with fezes and bowties, brown dwarves are cool.

Incoming. First up is Saturn, who seems to be in a more magnificent pose every time I zoom back home.

And a bunch of random planets.

And we end it with a Saturn wannabe.

Nope.

I am using a very hackish method to do this.

I did match Gargantua though in looks by modifying the black hole warp shader and shrinking the size of the distortion

Im guessing Doc is using the corona effects to create that accretion disk. But how?
placing a star in the center of it seems to be the only way i see it working, but it doesn't makes sense

It looks like there's a spiral galaxy seen from the side at high exposure in the background, getting Einstein ringed by the black hole. Not sure how the part where it goes in front of the black hole was done, though...

I occasionally stream at http://www.twitch.tv/magistermystax. Sometimes SE, sometimes other games.

Chromatic9, How do you get such excellent images? Do you sift through a lot of possibilities for that one perfect image or do you have a system/tactic?
