QuietlyConident, it depends on magnitude limit, I think it is in F7 menu. The more the magnitude limit is, the more stars are displayed on screen. Same with galaxies and planets. You can get a lot of interesting things with that but don't get too excited, because it may cause a severe overload or even crash - if the program will try render 100 000 stars, even though this quantity isn't too hight for reality.

QuietlyConident, I also put the bloom and scale sliders all the way down, and turn over bright up. Turning off fxaa makes a huge difference as well.
