My computer at home is extremely slow, as most of you are aware of by now. But I downloaded SE onto my dad's computer, and look!

Abandoned alien terrace farming?

It runs so much better! biggrin

I'm back, but am I here to stay? Hopefully!

That's cool! I didn't know SE rendered pulsars on some neutron stars. How fast does it spin?
About the bug with the spec map: I'm just going to pretend aliens have made sure to visit every planet that exists and make terraces for pointless reasons. smile

Well, sadly my experiment trying to get the rings removed off the planet I really liked failed, but here's some really nice 0.9.7.1 pictures from tonight's floating around the universe.

Spoiler alert: The last planet is by far my favorite and something I've never seen before.

This picture reminded me of Krypton from Man of Steel. For a scorched desert it was remarkably photogenic.

Here's another rare find, a gas giant...orbiting a gas giant.

And here we go, my favorite find of the night.

BLUE. RINGS. Absolutely amazing. I wish the planet could have been a bit prettier, but those blue rings have just blown me away.

I think you may have meant me. :P

If that is unreadable, the code for the blue ringed planet is:

RS 0-8-12881417-223-6-6-39504-5 2

How did you get the 0.9.7.2? I can't find it neither in the develpoment thread nor in the Download section unsure

Love Space Engine!

I meant 9.7.1. I'm so used to typing 9.6.2 that I just put the 2 instead of the 1 on reflex.

Got some more. Been playing with the FOV and mag limit. Before all my pics were standard, 7 mag limit and 45* FOV. In some of these i changed the FOV to 75* and the mag either 5 or 4. I think some of these were pretty nice. Also changed the lens flare. I forgot which ones i set them to, ill check if anyone is interested. Well here they are hope you like them.

At first i was annoyed with the hazy mist, but now that i have been looking at the screens and playing with the time of day i found that it adds a lot to the photos. I dont use any kind of photo shop program, these are straight from SE itself, with the only editing being FOV and mag limit.

I use regularly mag4 or 5 and size of stars 0.5, or even 0.25.
I think it's much more realistic.
