That Earth looking planet is pretty cool, and wow those asteroids are close!

JCandeias, try this. You won't be disspaointed!

Thanks, but my beef is with those icy specular reflections in general, not specifically with those in Saturnian moons (much less in Voekoevaka's image). Unless the ice lies in bodies hot enough for it to partially melt, becoming smooth and/or with a watery layer at the surface, there should not be specular reflections at all.

They let me use this!

I found a binary black hole system with a really small black hole and a brown dwarf orbit around each other. Didn't know there was black holes out of the center of clusters and spirals in space engine. Image is kinda hard to see. System is RS 8409-1353-9-86938743-283 in the milkyway. Pretty cool!

Yes, they do look cool, and are quite common. But did this really require a new thread? And anyway it's not posted in the correct section.

Here's some pics of a cool eclipse. I was on a moon and the planet is a big gas giant. The sun goes behind the planet and cast complete darkness over me. You can see the light on the upper part of the planet when the sun is behind that part. Its really amazing to see.

Here's a shot of a cool terra with life from 0.9.6. This reminds me of Krypton from Man of Steel.

And then here's a couple of shots of a temperate terra with a nice ring system and several of the giant asteroid moons, one of which I think would be close to impacting the planet given it's proximity to the planet.

Great pictures Atheist101, and love your name by the way.

This system really slows down my computer and destroys my FPS, and I have a 670. Imagine what it'll do to mid-lower end PC's.

From my current mission: documenting life systems with starships, shuttles, and drones:

I have a generally bad laptop in addition to this computer, and she j-u-s-t barely runs Space Engine 0.9.7.1. In 0.9.7, it always crashed. By run, I mean "manage to reach another star by clicking and pressing g." (no word on doing g twice...)

Tips for finding Earth-Like planets: Look for F, G, or K Class stars. M class habitables will almost always be tidelocked. Oceanias can, of course, also be habitable, they just have tiny amounts of land.

One of my favourite images on my own fictional work.

2 comets very close eachother in my fictional solarsystem Boliverius Alvera. This planetary system is inhabited by a civilization called Alverians.

From the surface of a planet called Zalena, orbiting in a trinary solarsystem. Inhabited by a civilization called Alvazeranians.

Fictional double-planets, orbiting Betelgeuse. The planet is called Leemos Arcturia and it is a planet-sized moon orbiting it, that is called Quaria Arcturus. Both of these planets are deserts. It was inhabited before, a long time ago. It was a civilization that was called Arcturians.
