Here's my latest desktop background. Someone's arriving.

This, BTW, is one effect that I don't think is possible in real life. What we're seing is haze being lit by the rising sun behind the very mountains that would prevent it from being lit by the sun. If (or maybe when?) relief shadows were a feature in Space Engine, this wouldn't be possible.

Still pretty, though.

mordin86- Absolutely spectacular pictures! BTW, I know this may sound stupid and doesnt really belong on this thread, but how do you increase the FOV?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it.

Found a rather cool system. A terra with life orbiting a desert ridiculously close to it.

The terra has rings and a toxic-looking yellow atmosphere, while the desert looks much more pleasant.

And this picture was taken with auto-exposure off, magnitude and brightness at default, and with all objects on.

Some of my own pictures. Nothing too special, but I like them:

A white main-sequence star rising above an oceania with life.

Sunset on a very red terra with life- the vegetation is red, the water is red, the skies are red an even the star is a red dwarf.

Just a very comfortable looking terra moon with a view of the parent planet.

A beautiful evening on a moon terra with life

A desolate ice world orbiting a gas giant with a huge cyclone on it, and many smaller cyclones offspringing from the larger one. Is it just me or is the center of the cyclone glowing very brightly?

A nice planet and moon with life inside a nebula: RS 3256-1355-8-15564972-27 B4

Both of them have green atmospheres!

Messing around with low FOV.

A temperate terra moon with life, orbiting close to a gas giant.
Both with rings, in a binary system.
The terra casts a shadow on the giant.
Note the smaller moon in the first and second to last picture, too, when viewed in full res.

It's actually eclipsed by the giant, making a semi-night time on a quarter of the moon.
