I've got a GTX580, 12 gb ram, good system, runs anything without problems for the most part, but I can't seem to get the same detail as some of you guys. That's even with LOD at the best setting. angry

I think it depends on the screen resolution. At least 1920 x 1080 should be used for the screen captures. LOD at 2. Don't forget the lighting angles and composition add the emotion to the image. These are not just snapshots. A lot of work goes into the composition of the captures.

Some nice interesting shots you got there, Phoenix

Your work is inspriing cromatic9. I've been away for months. Funny, I still like 0.96 a little better but there are some aspect of 0.97 that are interesting.

Lol, looks like the aliens from the planet above would have a lot of problems explaining that thing in the skies. I can't even imagine how many Bruno's they would burn alive until they understand that this huge spiral is their galaxy. The problem would be even deeper if there are no other stars around their system.

chromatic9, location for the last planet?

It's from a random planet within colliding galaxies, you can search for them pressing F3. I didn't save it.

This below is one of my first planets I went to, I saved the location but lost it when updating to patch 0.96.2.
I've not been able to find anything like this in over six months. I thought oh well at the time, it was such an amazing realistic place.

Some interesting terrain in .97. Still have problems running the new version but the results were worth the struggle.

Amazing, as always! Thank you so much!

If possible, do you remember the coordinates of the places? I'd like to visit them! wink
