This was going to be my original entry for Flugcojt's challenge
Remarkably this planet is very similar to Earth.

Was just derping around in 0.9.6 for any moons with life around gas giants when I stumbled across this terrifying thing.

When i saw Kviki's post i decided to take a look at things myself. I was stunned by what I saw. And now I'm wondering what i actually saw.
This 'thing' looks like a stream of charged particles/plasma, but when i fast-forwarded time a saw that it doesn't just go away but instead it orbits the star so it can't be a comet. It also doesn't just appear out from the star's surface. So i'll attach a pic and hopefully one of you will know what it is.

I took another one just because it was fascinating
