Very beautiful pictures Talisman, , btw how much time does it take to load in LOD 2

Thanks, it will render decently in 3-7 seconds but I have to wait maybe 20-30 seconds for it to fully load. cool

Those images are amazing, Solaris! What LOD and FOV settings do you use?

I occasionally stream at http://www.twitch.tv/magistermystax. Sometimes SE, sometimes other games.

Thanks guys smile i'm glad you like them !
i try to stay at LOD 2 as much as possible, but the loading is sloooow... dry ( when i found a good spot , switching from interleaved loading mode to immediatly loading mode help a lot btw)
for the FOV , i used many different of them, very usefull to adjust the composition , so i use FOV from 60° to 15°, it depends on what i want. But i guess that most of the time i use FOV 40° ( that way you have no fisheye effect , and more cinematic one )
also i play a lot with the F7 menu ( Magnitude/brightness setting) wich is very usefull.
here you have a exemple :

Solaris I am speachless surprised . I have saved every single one of your shots!. And I will be using them as a desktop background and put them to rotate every few minutes. If only they were 1920x1080 I could have used them unstretched rolleyes . But I don't mind - they are still great cool .

Solaris, you're absolutely the best! How much time do you spend from flying around, finding a good spot, playing with the FOV, magnitudes and etc, and taking the final screenshot? And do you only take .jpg or did you try .png too?

neutronium76, GameOver, thanks !
If someone had told me that one day my space screenshots would be used by other person for their own desktop, I would not have believed it.. smile

actually not that much, for the spots this thread helped me a lot : http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/10-481-1
the longest thing is to get the desired alignment (I think it is important to have several things to look in a picture. ) , which sometimes is just luck. once this is done , i do several shots with different settings, from different angles, different light, it's basically experiments , and i choose the best pics few days later.

you mean we can set the format somewhere? there is still a lot of thing I dont know yet about spaceengine.. dry , learning everyday !

Solaris, you must have some photography experience or at least some experience in the visual arts because your shots are just breathtaking. I also agree with everyone else. Well done and keep em coming smile
