More colliding galaxies?

I'm looking for colliding galaxies, and I've found a few, such as this thread:
http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/10-379-1#3094

And some of the mods and stuff. But what I'm really after is two colliding spiral galaxies on the scale of Andromeda and Milk Way where their arms are large and entangled, and the disk of one is approximately 90 deg perpendicular to the other to say within about 10 degrees give or take.

Preferably with some exotic colors rather than the simple Milky White.
biggrin

Has anybody ever found such a place?

I don't have one, but there's an easy technique to find them.

I just wanted to share a really easy way to find colliding galaxies and galaxy clusters. Press F3 to bring up the "Find Object" menu. Then type in NGC which is what most unnamed galaxies begin with. Start scrolling down the long list of NGC objects until you come to some that say "NGC XXXX-1" then "NGC XXXX-2" etc. The ones with dashes next to them are in clusters. If it is for example 1040 -1 and 1040 - 2 that means there are two galaxies in the cluster. The same goes for -3 -4 and whatever you can find. Have fun biggrin

Yea I saw that one too, but I didn't see this working for procedurally generated galaxies, unless I'm missing something. Only named galaxies. Assuming I'm just flying through random deep space. I can see the star searcher, but I'm not sure how to make it work for searching galaxies, or galaxy clusters. Also the advanced searcher provides a radius, but not sure what units it is in? I'm pretty sure it's not in meters, because a search for stars in a 10 meter radius wouldn't make any sense at all. tongue
