Well this is my first post and I'd like to say it's pleasure to be part of this community sorry if there's already another topic about this.
The rules are simple
- Third planet must have life happy
- System must be Arranged so that rocky planets are first and gas giants second tongue
- I'll be generous and say that the star can be any type though (preferably a sun like star) biggrin
- Doesn't have to be but preferably an 8 planet system would be nice

To start you off:
System: RS 0-7-485804-230-3-7-690934-37
The Mercury of this system

The Earth of this system

The Moon of Earth of this system

The Mars of this system

The Jupiter of this system

The Uranus of this system

Happy Hunting

The earth is in mars position cause in the earth's position is a venus type planet biggrin :

The interesting thing is that this system is only about 30-35 LYs from sol smile

neutronium76, Yeah very cool and a nice find but what is best is ´that it is so close. Can you see sol from the night sky of this planet?

You must have made a few custom galaxies cool

Not mine. Solaris's. wink . I didn't know that by adding new galaxies, the milky way changes its designation number.

From the surface of that mars terraformed-looking world I doubt, because of its thick atmosphere. From higher altitude, maybe.

I just found what system in the default location "Life near cat's eye" in 0.974 RC3 is rather similar to our solar system, only "few" differences:

  • it have two Suns
  • it have two Mecuries surrounded by asteroids
  • Venus, Earth and Moon are smaller, Earth have rings
  • Life on Earth is still in oceans and unicellular (the system is just 1.5 billion years old)
  • Mars is larger than Earth and have a large moon
  • Asteroid belt is beyond Jupiter's orbit
  • Jupiter and Saturn have larger number of moons
  • Saturn was ejected to 60 AU orbit and now is the most far planet
  • Titan have rings instead of dense atmosphere
  • Uranus and Neptune are formed binary planet with a few extra moons
  • Pluto and Charon are large iceworlds, larger than both Mercuries

I called planets and moons "New Earth", "New Moon" and so on:

SpaceEngineer, nice find, I had not noticed. Otherwise, it's supposed to be the third planet that must be kind of land that harbor life.

I have found an interesting Solar System look-alike: HIP 73938

The system has 10 planets, out of which three have life! Two are terrestrial, and one is an ice giant.

The star is a big, but young yellow dwarf. Over twice as luminous as the Sun.

The first two planets are both hot selenas, only a few Moon-masses each.

The third planet is interesting: it is a terra with aquatic, unicellular life! Unfortunately, because it is about 50 Celsius, the seas are evaporating, leaving a few small oceans. Probably it will evolve into a Venus-like world. It has a big moon.

The fourth planet resembles the third one: also a terra with simple, aquatic life. Only that is isn't that hot, so life will probably evolve there. It has two big moons.

The next planets are either gas giants, or small ice worlds. Two stand out: the first one is a jovian, with over 2.7 times Jupiter's mass, and with beautiful rings!

It also has a few really big moons, one of which is a cool desert with the potential of becoming life bearing, when the star will become more luminous.

Lastly, another cool planet is a ringed ice giant with a twist: it is tilted just like Uranus! So it's rings are perfectly visible, making it look like a giant blue dartboard!

Ştefan, good find! I found a very similar system: HIP 75235.

The sun is G2V with almost 10 Suns luminosity - probably be a catalog error (it must be G2III subgiant).
The system have 2 hot mercuries, lifeless warm terra with a single moon, temperate terra with aquatic life with and 4 large moons. sized of all these planets are very similar to your system. Next is a massive jovian planet with 4 large moons, larger than terra planets. One of them is really big superearth desert with life! (on screenshot). Uranus and Neptune analogues have 10 large moons each, Pluto analogue have no moons, and no Saturn analogue.

This system is so resembling the one you have found what I think it may be an issue with procedural generator. Similar seeds has been generated, so planets are almost the same with tiny differences.

It's possible that there is a bug with the procedural generator, althrough I found many systems unlike ours, with hot jovians, hot neptunians, super-earths etc.
